Biography

Ella has spent over 20 years working in communities on the edge of the status quo, starting with community mobilizations around AIDS/HIV in the 90s.

Online community spaces have been her safe spaces during deeply-rooted, emotionally and mentally demanding, in-person community organizing. When the day job immersed her in child poverty, asylum seeker and immigrant advocacy, environmental racism, or anti-oppression-centered health and wellbeing, she sank into fibre crafting forums to spin and knit the comfort blanket for her soul.

A lifetime and countless heartbreaks later, she's building communities for developers, engineers, and their teams:

"No community is merely the sum of its parts. Engineers are the people who we've tasked with building the infrastructure and interactions of our future social fabric. As community builders who live and breathe connection and belonging, our mission is to ensure that everyone feels supported to build a kind and empathic world."
