We are looking forward to seeing you soon! 🙌
Gradle is one of the most spread tools for building Kotlin (and Java) applications. It is a powerful beast that can serve you well but can also bite. Despite thorough documentation and many public resources, there are also many myths. Few can be found about organizing the builds in monorepos. In this talk, I will share my experience of refactoring the wild legacy of multimodule builds into well-organized monorepos consisting of independent modules (deliverables) yet sharing parts of the build logic. I will picture the benefits but also mention the pitfalls.
We explore how to effectively use Kotest and Mockito for testing in Kotlin and Spring environment. Discover the strengths of Kotest for writing expressive, declarative tests with intuitive syntax, and learn how Mockito simplifies mocking dependencies to isolate test cases.

We are a community specializing in the development of backend applications. Our main focus is on writing backend applications in the Kotlin programming language and working with associated frameworks. However, we don't limit ourselves to projects written in this language; we also enjoy learning about other languages offered by the JVM and other platforms. Our interests extend beyond just application development. We are also interested in deployment and application building processes, such as containerization with Docker, utilizing Kubernetes, and cloud solutions like AWS, Azure, and GCP. Databases are also within our scope of interest, and we are always eager to learn more about them.
