Just as glasses help many to see better, digital tools and features designed with accessibility in mind ensure that everyone can engage more fully with technology. Join us on Tuesday, May 21, and discover how to start incorporating these considerations into your product discovery process to create solutions that truly cater to all users.
In two lightning talks followed by a panel discussion, four QA experts will explore how enhancing digital accessibility can open up the internet to everyone. From Applifting — Damian Gorný, QA tech lead, and Jáchym Vintr, Product developer, joined by Jan Vejmola, Senior QA manager & team leader at FTMO, and Martin Rohr, QA analyst at STRV.
What’s on the menu?
First, we’ll focus on the implications of the European Accessibility Act, which aims to enhance accessibility in web and mobile applications.
The next lightning talk will explore how inclusivity should be integrated from the onset of product discovery with Jáchym sharing actionable strategies for those new to accessibility.
Finally, our panelists will discuss real-world stories, different perspectives, tools, trends, and challenges.
There will be Q&As sprinkled throughout the event to quench your thirst for knowledge. You can also look forward to a themed quiz, where you can win cool Applifting prizes!
Just come and chat, get to know each other, and see how we think about things at Applifting.

Our co-founder Filip will give a short welcome and introduce our speakers.
In 2025, the new Europen Accessibility Act will come into force. This change will affect almost the entire internet environment in the EU. The directive was created because of the growing importance of communication through web and mobile applications. This talk is aimed at educating and spreading awareness of the importance of accessibility.
A majority of people will use some accessibility features over the course of their lives. For this reason, it makes sense to start thinking about accessibility as soon as the product discovery phase begins. Product people can take a variety of steps to consider a wide user base for their product—create accessibility personas, conduct user research with the target audience, or prioritize accessibility during the early ideation and prototyping phases. In my lighting talk, I will provide examples of how to begin if you have no prior experience with product accessibility.
Our experts will share real-world stories from the field and discuss accessibility regulations, best practices, and contrasting QA and product development views on accessibility. We’ll also delve into QA tools, AI challenges, CI/CD, and current trends.
Snacks and drinks, including draft beer, will be available for you all evening. Get ready to network with Applifters and participate in a quiz to win Applifting prizes. Let’s enjoy the evening together!
Some of us may move on to a pub, but the doors of Applifting are closing, and we'll look forward to seeing you next time!
