Join the second Product Design Meetup at SentinelOne - let's meet and talk about software product design and enjoy an evening full of learning, fun, tasty food & drinks, as well as networking with fellow designers.. just before the summer vacation season hits!
Hear inspiring stories, on topics such as choosing one's career path, visual design(ers) in the new era of creativity and more, from speakers like

When & where?
📍 Product Design Meetup will happen on June 28th, 2023 at SentinelOne office in Prague (Karlin - Karolinska 707/7).
🕠 Open doors at 5:30PM and we will start at 6PM.
(The event is of course free of charge).
What's our plan for the evening?
The first part will be dedicated to the talks & lightning talks on Product Design topics presented by speakers working at various tech companies.
🍰🍿🍷 After the talks we're planning a networking session to let the designers meet & chat informally, as well as some delicious food & drinks to keep you fueled throughout the evening!

Management Gardening – creating, using and re-thinking a framework of a design manager
Over the years, as MJ scaled the impact of his work and widened the range of his responsibilities, he started to observe troubles keeping clarity in his role. That's why he decided to write down a framework for his design manager work – mainly to keep him focused on what is important. But as he finished writing down the first version of this framework, he realized that some parts became immediately obsolete. It led him to make the framework a living document that he regularly revisits in cycles. Similar to how you would periodically revisit your garden to make sure it flourishes. The framework details how he approaches work within annual, quarterly, and weekly scopes, including 1x1s, goal planning, or his todos. During the talk, MJ will share excerpts from the framework and how the learnings shaped his leadership mindset.

The importance of a visual designer in the era of new creativity
If you have visual designers in your product team or company, feel free to skip the talk and get something good to eat instead. But if you don’t, you won’t want to miss this talk. We’re at a moment in time when digital products have industrialised nearly everywhere in the world. The terms “agile” and “user-centric” have almost become an ISO standard, and companies and their products are all beautiful lookalike toothpastes. These are the moments when cultural movements are sparked and roles are flipped on their head. In this talk, rediscover the importance of a visual designer, who will help you to fight the sea of sameness and navigate the change. OK, Creativity.

Special instructions on how to get to the venue:
From Karlinske namesti you will walk straight in the direction of the Vltava river to the Missouri Park building, Karolinska 707/7 (behind the Amazon Court building).
In the building, a receptionist will direct you from the building reception to the S1 office on the 3rd floor via elevator/staircase.
PLEASE NOTE: at the SentinelOne office, all meetup attendees will be required to sign a generic NDA used for all office visitors, to be able to attend the meetup.
